Example Used on This Page:

Below I will show you how to recreate this page using the different methods.

 PGA’S CDN.

In the example below we will discuss two ways of recreating this page for the USA Customs Brokerage side; duplicating a page and copying between pages.

Recreating a Page Using the Duplicating Function

Duplicating The Page From The Dashboard

To recreate the PGA- CDN for the USD side, follow the steps below:

1: From the Dashboard on Frontier-U WordPress site, Select the “All Pages” under the ‘Pages”  tab on the left-hand menu.

2. Search the Page you want to recreate in the searchbox in the top righthand corner of the screen:

3. Hover over the title of the page and the following options will appear:

 Select “Duplicate This”

4. It will reset the page, so re-search the title of the page. You will see the original page and one that will say “draft”:

Hover over the title of the draft version and select “Quick Edit” to change the title of the page.

The following screen will pop up:

Rename the page and select “update”.

Editing the Page

To begin editing the page, from the “pages” tab, select “Edit with Elementor”

Change all of the titles/text/icons and links.

For example:

The link that is attached to to “Back” Button will take you back to the CDN Customs Brokerage page. You have to make sure to relink it to the USA Customs Brokerage page:

1. Open the USA Customs brokerage page in a new tab and copy the URL

Then paste the copied URL into the link box as shown below:

.

2. Repeat this for all the links on the page that need to be changed. NOTE* If you do not have a link for a button, then it is important to delete the link that is currently associated with the button.

EX.” PGA 2″ has a link associated with it from the previous page. But I don’t have a page created for the “PGA 2”. If people click on this button then they will be taken to a PGA page for the CDN side. So, it’s important to go in and deleted that link and all the other links that are wrong/don’t exist.

3. Publish the page (green button at the bottom of the editor)

4. View the page, copy the URL for the new page

5. Paste it into the icon on the associated page.

Click Update. ** Always check the page after you’ve made your edits.

Benefits, Issues and Other Notes For Duplicating a Page

Benefits:

  • It’s fast and easy

Issues:

  • Links! Everything about the duplicate page will be the exact same as the original, and this includes the links. It is so easy to forget to change one or multiple old links taking people to the wrong page/ areas of the site.

Other Notes:

  • Link Pathway: when you add a link note where it should “pop out” and become its own page in a new tab or if it should take you to another page in the same tab.
  • When it is a PDF or other file type that you are downloading – it should pop out
  • When you are linking something to another page on your site

Creating a New Page From Scratch

How to Create the Right Kind of Page

Continuing with the example above (the PGA-USA page we just created), we know that the PGA 1 will be “Agricultural Marketing Services”. So now we want to build the next page for Agricultural Marketing Services. Let’s assume that this PGA will split into different areas.

1. Under the page tab under the dashboard, select “Add New”

Name the page and select “edit with Elementor”

Copying Between Pages

Benefits VS. Issues

Benefits:

  • It’s fast and easy
  • You can copy little parts of a page at a time – pick and choose without having to delete much

Issues:

  • Links! When you copy something with a link attached to it, it will copy over to the next page. It is so easy to forget to change one or multiple old links taking people to the wrong page/ areas of the site.

Using Existing Templates

Benefits VS. Issues

Benefits:

  • They’re easy to use
  • Best way to keep consistency among all of the pages throughout the site
  • No pre existing links

Issues:

  • A little more time consuming but not really.
