LTL reference

Legend for LTL Rates.

Use this section as a quick reference for the LTL rate terms that appeared on the original page.

Rate terms

MC = Minimum Cost

L5C = Minimum Weight Break to 499 lbs.

M5C = 500 lbs. to 999 lbs.

1M = 1,000 lbs. to 1,999 lbs.

2M = 2,000 lbs. to 4,999 lbs.

5M = 5,000 lbs. to 9,999 lbs.

10M = 10,000 lbs. to 19,999 lbs.

Minimum Weight Break Calculation

Divide the MC price by the L5C price, then multiply by 100.

Example: If MC is $45.51 and L5C is $14.33, then 45.51 ÷ 14.33 = 3.175. Then 3.175 × 100 = 317.5.

Minimum weight break: 317 lbs.
